Evening Desert Safari Dubai: Dune Bashing, Shows & BBQ Dinner

Dune bashing and live shows beat watching the desert from a hotel window

An evening desert safari in Dubai combines dune bashing, camel riding, sand boarding and live entertainment with a BBQ buffet dinner, all included with hotel pickup. The guide speaks English, children from age 1 are welcome, and the whole experience runs about six hours from pickup to drop-off.

Step-by-step itinerary

Desert Safari with Activities and Dinner

• Pick up by guide
• Visit quad biking area
• Enjoy included desert activities

The experience

You get picked up from your hotel and driven to the desert camp, where the real activity starts. Quad biking is available if you want it (you buy a ticket at the counter), but everything else is included: sand boarding down the dunes, a short camel ride, dune bashing in an open vehicle that hits the soft slopes hard enough to feel it. The guide handles the driving and the timing, so you're free to grip the door handle or take photos as the sun drops.

Once the light fades, the shows begin. A belly dancer and a Tanura performer take the stage while you eat: grilled meat, salads and sides from the buffet, plus unlimited soft drinks, water, tea and coffee. There's a fire show too, and a sheesha pipe if you want it. The camp has separate toilet facilities for men and women. Everything wraps by the time your driver brings you back to the hotel.

This is a shared group experience, not a private tour. You'll be with other travelers, which is part of how the price stays reasonable and the logistics work: the vehicle fills, the kitchen cooks one dinner service, the performers do one show. If you've got an afternoon free and want the dunes without renting a car or navigating on your own, this is the setup that makes it happen.
