The experience

The pickup comes to your door between 2:30 and 3:30 pm, then the Land Cruiser heads into the red desert around Lahbab for the main event: 30 to 40 minutes of dune bashing. This is not a slow scenic drive: the vehicle tackles the dunes hard enough that the ride itself is the activity. After that, you move to the camp for camel rides, sandboarding if you want it, and time to walk around in traditional desert clothing for photos.

The evening fills with four live shows: belly dancing, a fire show, and the Tanura (spinning skirt dance). Between performances, there's Arabic coffee and fresh dates, unlimited soft drinks and tea, a shisha pipe if you're interested, and a full buffet dinner with grilled meat and vegetarian plates. The bar operates on a pay-as-you-go basis. Drop-off back at your location happens between 9:30 and 10:15 pm.

Four purchase options let you choose: the regular package, VIP seating closer to the shows, quad biking added to the regular tour, or quad biking with VIP seating. The guide speaks your language (English, Arabic, Hindi or Urdu), and the whole day is arranged: transport, entry, food and entertainment are all included so you show up at your door and the rest unfolds on schedule.

What's the difference between the regular package and the VIP option?

The VIP sitting option places you closer to the stage for the four live shows (belly dancing, fire show and Tanura dance), so you get a better view of the performances. Everything else (dune bashing, camel rides, dinner, transport) stays the same.

Is the quad biking included, or do I have to pay extra?
