The experience

The safari starts with a pickup from your Dubai location, then heads straight into the desert for a roller-coaster ride across the dunes in a 4WD vehicle. You'll stop at the highest dune to watch the sunset and drink complimentary mineral water before the light goes. Once the sun drops, the driver continues to a Bedouin campsite in the heart of the desert, where the evening activities begin.

At the campsite, you can climb onto a camel for a ride across the sand, get henna painted on your hands, dress up in traditional Arabic costumes for photos, and puff on a shisha pipe in whatever flavor appeals to you. A belly dancer performs to live Arabic music while you settle in. The buffet dinner includes grilled meat, shawerma, Arabic bread, and as much soft drink, coffee and tea as you want. The whole experience runs six hours from pickup to drop-off.

Children under 4 need a private car booking (which seats up to 6 adults), and the tour isn't recommended for people with spinal injuries, heart conditions, or pregnancy. Specialized infant seats are available if you need them. Alcoholic drinks are optional and available for purchase at the campsite.
