The Experience

It started with a grin from our driver, Ahmed, as he handed me a helmet outside my hotel in Dubai. “You ready?” he asked, and honestly, I wasn’t sure. The city faded fast behind us — just glass towers shrinking in the rearview — until we hit that endless stretch of desert. The air smelled dry and sharp, like sun-baked stone.
