A Land Cruiser picks you up from your location in Dubai and drives you into the desert. Once you reach the dunes, the safari captain hands over a 4-seater dune buggy, safety helmet and goggles, and you take the wheel for 30 minutes. The buggy is built for off-road conditions, so the sand responds differently than pavement — you steer across slopes and through soft terrain instead of following a road. The captain stays with the group and manages the route so you focus on the drive itself.

After your 30 minutes at the controls, the captain brings everyone to a scenic spot in the desert for photos and a break. Water and soft drinks are served here. Complementary sandboarding is also available if you want to try it.
