The experience
The evening starts with pickup from your hotel anywhere in Dubai, then a drive through camel farms before reaching the desert. Once the 4x4 hits the red dunes, the vehicle tilts and climbs across the sand for 45 minutes of dune bashing. The driver handles the wheel while you experience the terrain. A sand boarding option and a sunset photo stop break up the ride, and there's a refreshment pause at the quad bike area with toilets available.
At the desert camp, you trade the vehicle for a camel, then settle in for the evening. The open buffet dinner includes Arabic sweets and soft drinks, with water and bottled refreshments throughout. The entertainment unfolds as you eat: belly dancers and Tanoura performers take the stage, a fire show follows, and henna artists work on hands and arms. Shisha smoking rounds out the camp experience. Photography in traditional Arabic costume is arranged as part of the package.
The return journey to your Dubai hotel closes the six-hour outing. Quad bike or buggy rides are available as add-ons at checkout if you want extra time in the dunes beyond the standard dune bashing.
