A 2-day safari from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park combines a morning rhino sanctuary visit with an overnight stay and full game drives along the Nile. The Experience

The first day starts after breakfast with a drive through the Luwero triangle toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you track white and black rhinos on foot—a chance to see animals that were hunted to extinction in Uganda and are now being bred back into the wild. From there the route continues into Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at the top of the falls where the Nile is forced through a gap only 7 meters wide before dropping 43 meters. In the evening you board a sundowner cruise on the river, watching crocodiles and hippos surface as the light fades, then head to your lodge along the riverbank.

Day two is a full game drive starting before breakfast. The Delta section holds around 4,000 hippos and enormous Nile crocodiles, plus herds of elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo and—if you're lucky—the rare shoebill, a prehistoric-looking wading bird. The riverbanks are lined with kingfishers and bee-eaters. After lunch back at the lodge, the drive returns to Kampala or Entebbe. National park fees, all meals and the boat cruise are included; you choose your accommodation level (budget tents, moderate mid-range, or high-end lodge) at checkout.

The two nights mean you're not racing the clock—the first afternoon and evening let you settle into the park rhythm, and the second day's game drive has time to work. A live English-speaking guide leads both days. Pickup from Kampala is included. Vegetarian meals are available if you request them at booking.
