The Experience

We wandered out into sunlight toward the Blue Mosque (I learned it’s named for its tiles—not actually blue outside, which made me laugh). Friday prayers meant we couldn’t go inside, but standing in the courtyard with locals passing by felt just as real. There was a breeze and you could hear kids running around Hippodrome Square nearby—stray cats weaving between people’s legs like they owned the place. Ekin pointed out these ancient columns from Egypt and Greece. It’s wild how much history is just… sitting there.
