The experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel in Side or Manavgat and heads north toward the Oymapinar dam, built between 1977 and 1984 and now the fifth largest in Turkey. From there, you board a boat for a one-hour cruise across the Green Lake, a body of water so vivid it gives the canyon its name. The lake sits deep in the Taurus Mountains, surrounded by wooded slopes that rise on all sides. You'll have time to swim in the water before the boat returns to shore.

Lunch happens at a restaurant overlooking the lake and the mountain range beyond it. After eating, the jeep heads back toward Side on a road trip that closes the loop. The whole tour runs six to seven hours from start to finish. Hotel drop-off is included, so you return to where you started without arranging a separate ride back.
