A full-day hiking tour in Cappadocia covers 19 km across Red Valley, White Valley and Pigeon Valley, with a private guide, lunch and transportation from your hotel. You'll hike past cave churches and rock formations, stop for tea in Cavusin village, and finish with a picnic lunch overlooking the valleys before descending into Goreme town.

The experience

The day starts at your hotel, where your guide and driver meet you with water and packed lunch before heading to Red Valley. The first 5 km takes you through terrain that feels like walking on the moon. The valley holds cave churches and old vineyards tucked into the rock. At Cavusin village you stop for tea or refreshment at a local shop, a chance to rest and talk with your guide about what you've seen so far.

From there you move into White Valley, where the rock formations shift in color and shape. The route then climbs through Love Valley toward Uchisar district, where you'll have your picnic lunch at a spot with views across all three valleys. The final stretch descends through Pigeon Valley all the way down to Goreme town. If you want, your guide can arrange a Turkish bath before heading back to your hotel, or you can return directly after the hike.

The tour runs 8 hours total and suits all fitness levels. Your guide speaks English and can also lead in Spanish, Italian, French or other languages on request. The minivan is air-conditioned and carries your group privately, and lunch, drinks and all local taxes are included in the price.
