The experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel between 9:30 and 9:45, then heads straight to Uchisar Castle, the highest vantage point in Cappadocia. From there you get a panoramic view of the whole region before descending into the valleys. A local guide who speaks English or Turkish walks you through each stop, explaining what you're looking at and why it matters.

Devrent Valley comes next, where the rock formations look like animals (camels, snails, penguins) if you squint hard enough. It's called the Imagination Valley for a reason. Then you move through Zelve Open-Air Museum, a former cave settlement that housed Christians until the 1960s. The carved halls and chambers are still there, built into the rock face. Love Valley closes the loop with more fairy chimneys and another panoramic stretch.
