The experience
The day starts at your hotel and moves straight to Uchisar Castle, the stone fortress that rises from the plateau and gives you the first real sense of scale in Cappadocia. From there the route runs through Love Valley and into Pasabag, where the rock formations called Monks Valley stand like a landscape from another planet. The guide explains what you're looking at instead of you guessing. Zelve Open-Air Museum comes next, an abandoned village carved into the stone where you walk through rooms and passages that were lived in until the 1950s.
The middle of the day takes you to the Fairy Chimneys, the cone-shaped rocks that define the region, and then to a local carpet workshop where you see traditional Turkish weaving in action: no sales pressure, just the craft itself. A stop in Çavuşin village follows, a real place where people live, not a tourist stop.
