Roll, stuff and simmer Turkish dishes, then sit down to eat them together.

A hands-on cooking class in Cappadocia where you prepare and cook three traditional Turkish dishes (bazlama, dolma and mantı) with an English-speaking instructor, then eat what you've made as a group. The class runs about two and a half hours and includes private transportation to the kitchen and all cooking equipment and ingredients.

The experience

You arrive at the kitchen and start with the basics: how to chop, measure and handle tools safely. The instructor walks you through each dish step by step. Bazlama is a flatbread you'll cook and eat together; dolma is a stuffed vegetable; mantı is a small pasta-like dumpling. You're not watching a demonstration. You're doing the work yourself, with help when you need it. The hands-on approach means you actually learn the techniques instead of just hearing about them.

After you finish cooking, you sit down as a group and eat everything you've made. This is where the class becomes social and less formal. You get to taste the results of your work and often pick up tips from other people in the kitchen. The whole experience takes about two and a half hours from start to finish.

What’s included

  • Private transportation to the kitchen.
  • all cooking equipment and ingredients for the three dishes.
  • instruction from an English-speaking guide.
  • and the meal you cook and eat together at the end.
