The Experience

You don't need to have ridden before—the quads are automatic with hand or foot controls for gas and brake, and a professional guide walks you through the basics at the station before you start. After a test ride to get comfortable, the actual riding begins on the muddy, off-road slopes of the Taurus Mountains, where pine forest and deep valleys make up the terrain. The route covers roughly 20 km and takes about 2 hours of actual riding time, with built-in breaks so you can catch your breath, drink water and take photos of the landscape.

Hotel pickup happens from Antalya, Side, Alanya or Kemer, and you're driven to the quad safari station next to a small river on forested, off-road territory. The guide and instructor handle safety—helmets are provided and they stay with the group throughout. You can ride solo on your own quad or share one with another person; kids under 17 sit as a passenger behind a parent. The whole experience, from pickup to drop-off back at your hotel, takes about 3.5 hours.

Souvenir photos and a DVD of the ride are available to purchase separately. The activity is physically demanding—you need at least moderate fitness, and it's not suitable for anyone with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or pregnancy.
