Step-by-step itinerary

Explore Utica, Cape Angela, and Bizerte

  • Visit archaeological ruins in Utica
  • Enjoy sea views at Cape Angela
  • Explore medina, kasbah, and port in Bizerte

The experience

The day starts at Utique, a Phoenician city founded in the 9th century BC whose remains (temples, houses and mosaics) sit on a bluff overlooking the sea. You walk through the archaeological site and see what survives of a settlement that outlasted empires. From there the route heads north to Cape Angela, the actual northernmost point of Africa, where the Mediterranean spreads across the horizon and the geography itself becomes the landmark.

Bizerte, the final stop, is a working port city where the medina, kasbah and harbor sit close enough to walk between. The guide shows you how the old town and the modern port coexist, and you move through the streets at your own pace once the main sites are covered. The whole day runs seven hours with private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle. Your certified guide speaks your choice of English, Italian, French or Arabic throughout.

What’s included

  • Private air-conditioned vehicle with driver.
  • certified professional guide in your choice of language.
  • all entrance fees to the archaeological sites and attractions.
