The experience

Tobago's bioluminescence comes from tiny marine organisms that produce light through chemical reactions: a natural glow you trigger by moving through the water. The tour runs for about two and a half hours after dark, when the effect is most visible. You'll travel on a comfortable Boston Whaler at a gentle pace, giving you time to take in the quiet of the evening and watch the water shimmer around you as you glide through it.

Snorkeling and swimming equipment is provided, so you can enter the water and see the glow up close if you want to. The guide leads the experience in your choice of English, French, German or Swedish. The boat is wheelchair accessible, and the tour welcomes children from age 5 onward. Infants can ride along on an adult's lap or in a specialized infant seat.
