Snorkeling Ko Kut: 2 dives with lunch and guide
Dive two coral reef sites and surface with fish schooling around you
A daily snorkeling and diving activity from Ko Kut on a wooden boat, with a dive master guiding small groups through two reef sites and one additional snorkel stop. The trip includes all dive and snorkel gear, a Thai lunch buffet, hot drinks and snacks, and hotel pickup and drop-off. You're back by 3 or 5 pm. A national park fee applies if the boat heads to Koh Rang.

The experience
Ko Kut's reefs sit in shallow, protected bays where the same dive sites work for both divers and snorkelers. The boat makes three stops over the morning and early afternoon: two dives for those with certification, and snorkel-only access at each site for others. Divers descend in small groups with the dive master while snorkelers stay on or near the wooden boat in the shallows, where the coral and fish are visible without going deep. If the day's plan includes a deeper dive site, a small speedboat takes the certified divers down while the main boat holds position with the snorkelers, so nobody waits idle on the water.
All necessary dive equipment comes with the booking (tank, wetsuit, weights, mask and fins), though a dive computer can be rented separately if you want one. The boat carries underwater cameras too. You can rent one or ask the staff to photograph your dive and hand over the images on an SD card. Lunch is a Thai buffet served on board, with hot and cold drinks, coffee, tea, snacks and fresh fruit throughout the day. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, so the only logistics are showing up at your accommodation in the morning.
The boat departs daily and returns by mid-afternoon, leaving the rest of your day free. If the trip goes to Koh Rang National Park, a park fee is payable on the day of the activity. The dive master speaks English, French, German, Thai and one additional language, so communication is straightforward whether you're certified or just snorkeling.

Is this one for you?The five-hour commitment leaves your morning or late afternoon free, so you can pair it with a beach day or a market visit without losing the whole day. If you're not certified to dive, snorkeling the same reefs from the boat works just as well. The coral and fish are visible in the shallows, and you stay on the vessel where the staff can keep an eye on you.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, French, German, Thai and Dutch.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
What's the difference between the diving and snorkeling on this trip?
Divers descend to deeper sites with the dive master in small groups, while snorkelers stay in the shallows where the coral and fish are still visible. Both groups visit the same three stops. The boat simply splits the deeper dives off with a speedboat so snorkelers remain safe and comfortable on the main vessel.
Do I need certification to go on this boat?
Certification is required only if you want to dive. Snorkelers of any experience level can join and stay on or near the boat at the reef sites. You don't need to be a diver to book this trip.
What's included in the lunch and drinks?
A Thai lunch buffet is served on board, along with hot and cold drinks, coffee, tea, snacks and fresh fruit. Everything is provided throughout the five-hour day.
What time does the boat return to Ko Kut?
The boat aims to return by 3 or 5 pm, depending on the day's conditions and which sites are visited. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, so you're collected in the morning and returned to your accommodation in the afternoon.
Can I rent camera equipment to photograph the reefs?
Yes. Underwater cameras are available to rent, or you can ask the staff to photograph your snorkeling or diving day and receive the images on an SD card.
