Seven islands, seven snorkel stops, one boat and a Thai lunch on the sand

A 6.5-hour snorkeling trip from Koh Lipe visits seven islands in the Adang archipelago of Tarutao National Park by longtail boat, with an English-speaking guide, all snorkel gear, lunch and insurance included. The boat departs from Star Travel office on the walking street near Pattaya Beach. The national park entrance fee is separate. Small groups mean you move at a steady pace and spend real time at each stop instead of rushing through a checklist.

The experience

The longtail leaves Koh Lipe and heads 45 minutes out to Koh Hin Son, a small island with dramatic cliffs where you can hike to a viewpoint or stay on the water. From there the boat works through the archipelago: Koh Buloh has a colorful coral garden to snorkel; Ao Kam Nan is a bay with a reef and a beach to swim; Koh Ro Khloi is remote and quiet. The guide handles the route and timing, so you just show up with a swimsuit.

Lunch is a Thai-style picnic at Monkey Beach on Koh Dong's northeast side, where you eat and watch monkeys in the trees. After that come two more snorkel stops: Koh Peung has colorful sea fans, and Jabang has soft coral. The final island is Koh Hin Ngam, a black-sand beach where you can swim or rest before heading back. The whole day runs 6.5 hours from the office to your return.

You get snorkel masks, fins and a life jacket. The guide gives safety and technique tips before the first stop. Drinking water and seasonal fruit come throughout the day. The boat is small-group only, which means the crew knows where the fish are and can adjust if conditions shift. National park entry is 200 THB per adult (100 THB for children) and is not included. Pay it at the gate when you arrive.
