The Experience
The catamaran picks you up from your hotel between 11:30 AM and meets the guide at Ao Chalong Pier by 12:45, giving you time to settle in before the boat leaves at 1:30 PM. The cruise to Coral Island takes about 45 minutes, and when you arrive the snorkeling point is ready—mask, life jacket and SUP boards are all there. You spend roughly an hour in the water exploring the coral reefs and the fish living in them, then the boat moves to Kahung Beach, where you get a beach chair, fresh fruit and time to walk the sand or spot the wild hornbills that live on the island. Optional sea activities like parasailing are available if you want them, but the afternoon is mostly yours to move at your own pace.
At 5 PM the boat leaves Kahung Beach and sails toward Promthep Cape while the kitchen serves Thai dinner on deck. You eat, watch the light change over the water, and by 7:30 PM you're back at the pier and heading to your hotel. The whole day is eight hours from pickup to drop-off, but the actual boat time is split between the reef, the beach and the sunset cruise—no long stretches of sitting still.
The guide speaks English and is there to answer questions about what you're seeing underwater and on the islands. Roundtrip transfer is included from Patong, Kata, Karon, Phuket town, Rawai, Naiharn, Chalong and Kalim; if you're staying in Maikhao, Naiyang, Naithon, Bangtao or Layan, you can add a private transfer at checkout. Towels, a soft drink and onboard Wi-Fi are included, and accident insurance covers you while you're in the water.

Coral Island has a designated snorkeling point with coral reefs and colorful fish. You get about an hour in the water with a mask and life jacket provided, and SUP boards are available if you want to paddle on the surface instead.
How much free time do I get on Kahung Beach?
You have roughly two hours on Kahung Beach after snorkeling. A beach chair is yours to use, fresh fruit is served, and you can swim, walk the sand, or watch for the wild hornbills that live there. Optional paid activities like parasailing are available if you want to add them.
Is the sunset part of the tour, or just something that happens?
The sunset is built into the schedule. At 5 PM the boat leaves Kahung Beach and sails toward Promthep Cape and Cape Krathing specifically to watch it, and Thai dinner is served on deck while you're watching.
Does the tour include lunch?
Lunch is not included, but Thai dinner is served onboard during the sunset cruise. Fresh fruit and soft drinks are included during the day.
What if I'm staying outside Patong or Kata—how does pickup work?
Roundtrip transfer is included from Patong, Kata, Karon, Phuket town, Rawai, Naiharn, Chalong and Kalim. If you're in Maikhao, Naiyang, Naithon, Bangtao or Layan, you can add a private transfer when you book.
Do I need to know how to snorkel, or is there instruction?
No prior experience is required. The guide is there to help, and all equipment—mask, life jacket and snorkel gear—is provided. The snorkeling point is shallow enough for beginners.
