The experience

You arrive at the stable and meet your horse: calm, well-cared-for, and matched to your size and experience. The guide runs through safety basics and how to hold the reins, adjust your seat, and signal a walk or trot. It takes maybe fifteen minutes, and by then you're already comfortable enough to move. Helmet on, boots fitted, and you're heading down toward the water.
