The Experience

The day starts with a pickup from your Phuket hotel at 7 AM. Your first stop is Suwanakhua Temple, often called the Monkey Cave because of the monkeys living in and around the temple grounds. You explore the temple and its surroundings before moving on to the main event: 7 kilometers of white water rafting on the Phang Nga River. You navigate the rapids yourself as part of a small group, with your guide managing the boat and the route.

After the river, you break for lunch—a buffet with fried chicken, cashew chicken, fried rice, soup and fresh fruit. Then comes the ATV portion: a 30-minute ride through the rainforest canopy, where you operate your own machine on a set trail. The ATV is included, and riders must be at least 15 years old. The final stop is a waterfall where you can swim and cool off in the natural pool before the drive back to your hotel, arriving between 4 and 6 PM.

The full day runs about 9 hours. All equipment—raft, ATV, life jacket and helmet—is provided, as is insurance. Transport from your hotel is included both ways.
