The Experience

You're picked up from your Phuket hotel—Kamala, Patong, Kata, Karon or Phuket Town—and driven to Song Phreak River in Phang Nga province. The 7km white water rafting section takes you down river rapids with views of tropical forest on both sides. Before the water, you'll spend time at Suwan Khuha Temple, the local "Monkey Cave Temple," where monkeys move freely around the grounds and a large Buddha statue sits inside the cave.

After rafting, a Thai lunch with seasonal fruit waits at a restaurant. Then comes the jungle walk: a trek through rain forest to Tone Pariwat waterfall, where you can swim and rest before heading back. The guide briefs you on safety and trains you on the raft before you push off. Life jackets, safety equipment and a first aid kit travel with you. The whole day runs around half a day, leaving your afternoon or evening free.
