The Experience
The day starts with hotel pickup between 7:30 and 8:00 am from Krabi City area hotels, then heads to Namtok Ron—a hot spring waterfall in a jungle setting near Khlong Thom. The waterfall has carved the terrain into separate pools filled with naturally heated water from the springs. Morning is the best time to visit; the water stays warm throughout the day, and you avoid peak crowds. After soaking in the hot pools, the water flows into a cooler lake where you can relax and cool off.
From there, a jungle path leads to the Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot), a swimming lake fed by natural hot springs with clear, emerald-colored water. The pool's clarity lets you see deep into it, and the jungle framing adds to the setting. A short walk away sits the Blue Pool, which has vibrant blue water but is viewable only—not open for swimming. You'll have time to swim and explore both before heading to lunch at a local restaurant.
The final stop is Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a cave complex in a rainforest valley. The temple was discovered by a monk who used it for meditation and housed Buddha statues inside. Tigers once roamed the cave freely; their paw marks still mark the walls, and the cave's exterior shape resembles a tiger's paw. Climbing the 1,237 steps to the top rewards you with views across the Andaman Sea coastline. The tour ends with a return to your hotel in Krabi.
