The experience

Ko Lipe's Discover SCUBA Diving course starts at Adang Sea Divers, a 5-star eco-friendly resort on the island. You'll begin on land with a short safety video and a detailed dive briefing from your instructor, who will walk you through the equipment and the dive plan before you board the boat. This setup means you're not guessing what happens underwater. You know the site, the depth, the signals and what to expect.

The course takes you out for two separate dives, each exploring the coral reefs and marine life around Ko Lipe. Between dives you return to the dive centre for a short break, so you're not pushing through fatigue or nitrogen buildup. Your instructor stays with you throughout, watching your technique and adjusting the pace to what you're comfortable with. All diving equipment (wetsuit, tank, regulator, mask, fins) is provided and fitted at the centre before you leave.

The full 4-hour course includes lunch, so you're not hunting for food between dives or heading back hungry. Adang Sea Divers operates as a professional teaching facility, which means the instruction follows SSI standards and the boat, equipment and site selection are built around beginners learning to dive safely. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French and one additional language, so instruction happens in the language you need.
