The experience

Once on board, you'll have a professional guide who speaks English or Thai, and the boat is spacious enough that families and friends can do different activities (some snorkeling, others freediving, a few taking a PADI course), without anyone feeling cramped. Those who'd rather not enter the water can relax on deck.

You'll visit either the HTMS Chang wreck or Koh Rang Marine Park, depending on conditions and the day's plan. Both sites are known for coral reefs and tropical marine life. All snorkeling equipment is provided, and a safety briefing happens before you enter the water. If you want to capture the moment, underwater camera rental is available and includes an SD card. The boat carries snacks, lunch, coffee and tea throughout the day, so you're not hunting for food between sites.

Children from age 8 can join, and the trip suits all fitness levels. If you're interested in learning to dive or freedive, PADI courses run alongside the regular snorkeling trips on the same boat. Note that Koh Rang Marine Park has a ฿200 entry fee for snorkelers, separate from the tour price.
