The experience

Fourteen ziplines and 24 platforms wait in the Chiang Mai jungle, each one a climb up or a flight between century-old trees. The longest run stretches 1000 meters: long enough to feel like you're gliding, not falling. The cables are rigged to let the trees grow naturally while holding the weight of the equipment and the rider, a system designed by engineers who specialize in zipline safety. You get a safety briefing before you start, then a guide stays with your group through the course.

The day runs six hours from hotel pickup to drop-off. After the safety training, you walk a short nature trail into the canopy, then start climbing and zipping.
