The Experience
The tour runs four hours and picks you up from your Bangkok downtown hotel. Your licensed guide handles the route and the timing, so you move through three major temples without navigating between them yourself or waiting in separate ticket lines. Admission to all three temples is included, along with travel accident insurance up to 1,000,000 THB per person.
Wat Traimit holds the world's largest solid gold Buddha statue, weighing 5.5 tons and cast around 700–800 years ago during the Sukhothai era. Wat Pho houses the Reclining Buddha, a UNESCO Memory of the World site—a 46-meter-long gold-leaf-covered statue with mother-of-pearl inlaid in its feet. Wat Ben (the Marble Temple) stands out for its ordination hall built entirely from Carrara marble imported from Italy, with a cloister holding Buddha images from across Southeast Asia. The tour also passes through Bangkok's Chinatown along Yaowarat Road, built in 1891 and known as the Dragon Road, and includes views of the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall (designed in Italian Renaissance style with white marble and a central dome) and Chitralada Palace, a 4-square-kilometer royal residence.
You can book either a standard air-conditioned vehicle or upgrade to a luxury VIP van with premium amenities; the luxury option includes a baby car seat if you reserve it in advance. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Bangkok downtown are included with both options.
