Inside the main hall sits a five-and-a-half-ton solid gold Buddha statue, 900 years old, catching the light in a way that stops you. Your guide walks you through the history: how the statue was hidden under plaster for centuries, how it was discovered by accident. You're not rushed. This is the rhythm of the day—one temple, then the next, each one explained, not just seen.

After Wat Traimit, you drive through Yaowarat Road, Bangkok's Chinatown, where the street narrows and the gold shops stack up one after another. The guide points out the market life—vendors, shoppers, the smell of grilled meat and fish sauce hanging in the air. Then you stop at Pak Khlong Talat, the flower and vegetable market.
