The Experience

The tour starts with hotel pickup in Arusha after breakfast, then moves through villages toward Tarangire National Park for a full day of game drives. Tarangire is known for its elephant herds — the park concentrates wildlife around the river during the dry season — and you'll spend the afternoon watching from the jeep before heading to lodge for dinner. Meals during the day come as a packed hamper at lunch, eaten in the park itself.

Day two takes you toward the Serengeti, passing the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint on the way. You'll see animals and birds across the grasslands during the drive, then arrive in the afternoon for a game drive in Seronera, the central part of the Serengeti, until sunset. The Serengeti's flat-topped acacias and open plains make wildlife visible across long distances — lions, elephants, giraffes and big cats move through the same landscape you're crossing. Day three offers another morning game drive in the Serengeti before you pack and head to the Ngorongoro highlands for the final night.

The last morning is spent inside the Ngorongoro Crater itself, a self-contained ecosystem ringed by high walls. Hundreds of wildebeest and zebras graze on the crater floor, and lions, hyenas, leopards and cheetahs hunt within the same enclosed space. After lunch you exit and drive back to Arusha.
