Ride a jet ski for 30 minutes on Zanzibar's waters at Nungwi or Kendwa Beach, with a drone filming 15 to 20 minutes of your run from the air. You get edited photos and videos to take home, hotel pickup and drop-off within 10km, a safety briefing, and a lifejacket. Beginners and experienced riders both go out on the same activity.

The experience

You drive the jet ski yourself for the full 30 minutes. A professional drone operator films 15 to 20 minutes of that time from above, capturing your speed and the water around you. The rest of the time you explore freely on the water. The activity runs at Nungwi Beach or Kendwa Beach depending on the day's weather. The operator picks the safer spot and lets you know when you book.

The whole day starts with hotel pickup within 10km of Nungwi or Kendwa. You get a safety briefing on the beach, put on a lifejacket, and head out. After you're done on the water, the drone footage gets edited into photos and videos, which you receive to download and share. Bottled water is included, and the operator provides all equipment.

The activity suits both beginners and people who've ridden before. A guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or one other language throughout. If you're traveling with an infant, they can sit on your lap, or you can arrange a specialized infant seat.

Can I ride a jet ski on my own, or do I have to share one?

You choose at checkout: ride solo on one jet ski, share one with one other person, or book multiple skis for a group. Groups of up to eight people can book four jet skis together, and smaller groups can split across two or three.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day I'm booked?

Nungwi Beach and Kendwa Beach are the two locations, and the operator picks whichever one has better conditions that day. You'll be told which beach to go to when you confirm your booking.

Do I get the drone footage right away?

The photos and videos are edited after your ride and sent to you to download. You don't get them on the spot, but you receive the finished files to share with friends and family.

Is jet skiing experience required?

No. Beginners and experienced riders both do the same activity. Everyone gets a safety briefing before heading out, and the equipment is well-maintained and professionally supervised.

How far from my hotel is the pickup?

Hotel pickup is included if you're staying within 10km of Nungwi or Kendwa. If you're further away, the operator can arrange a round-trip taxi for an additional cost.
