The Experience
You meet your guide in Lucerne and travel by coach through the Bernese Oberland toward Grindelwald. The drive includes a 30-minute stop in Interlaken to stretch and grab a drink or snack. Once you arrive at the ski resort, your instructor helps you collect skis, boots, helmet and other safety equipment from the hire shop, then leads you to the Bodmi beginners' area for your 2.5-hour lesson. The group stays small—no more than 8 people—so your instructor can watch your progress as you take your first confident turns on the snow.
After the lesson, you have free time to explore Grindelwald at your own pace. Warm up in one of the village cafes, walk around the shops, or simply rest before the late-afternoon drive back to Lucerne. Your guide meets you for the return journey, and you arrive back in Lucerne after a full day on the slopes.
