Then you're in your own 4×4, following the guide's vehicle as the group moves through Philipsburg's Front Street on the Dutch side, crosses into the French territory, and heads toward the beaches and lookout points that make up the route.
Orient Bay Beach is the first major stop, and it's built for swimming: you'll have time to walk the sand, use the restrooms, and grab beverages or snacks from vendors there. The water is calm enough for a dip if you brought swimwear. From there the route heads to Oyster Pond, where the bright green iguanas often appear among the rocks and vegetation. This is the spot for photos, and the vantage point looks across to St. Barths on the horizon. The final stop is Coralita Beach's lookout point, where the guides call it "the Moses walk": at low tide, you can actually walk out on the exposed seabed toward a nearby island, a moment most visitors don't expect.
You'll need a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old to operate the UTV. The vehicle has a weight limit of 360 lbs per person, and each UTV seats either one or two riders depending on which option you book.
