The experience
You operate your own ATV or UTV for the duration, not a passenger ride. The vehicle you pick (single ATV, double ATV or 4-seater UTV) determines the experience, and the operator offers multiple configurations to match group size and preference. A live guide leads the route and manages the stops. You control the throttle. The activity runs 5.5 hours total, split between 3 hours of guided riding across both the Dutch and French sides of the island and 2.5 hours of free time anchored in Great Bay.
The riding itself covers mostly on-road terrain with a section off-road, moving at a sightseeing pace with multiple 15–20-minute stops built in. You'll pass through Maho & Mullet Bay, where planes descend and take off overhead; the French Quarter, where you can feed iguanas and photograph them; Marigot, the capital of the French side; and a coastal lookout point. The drive between stops can take around 2 hours depending on traffic and weather. Bottled water is provided during the ride, and you get a complimentary drink (water, soda, fruit punch or rum punch) after you finish.
Check-in runs from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. You must be 18 or older and hold a valid driver's license to operate the ATV. The operator will not accept photos of licenses. Swimwear is recommended if you plan to swim during the free time in Great Bay. Double ATVs have a weight limit of 360 pounds per vehicle. Public transportation is available nearby if you need it.
