The experience
The tour starts in the Old Town and moves through landmarks that span from the 14th century to today. You'll see the Serranos Towers, built as medieval gates and still standing as one of Europe's best-preserved defensive structures, then pass the Cathedral with its bell tower El Micalet rising above the skyline. The Silk Exchange, a UNESCO World Heritage site, shows the wealth Valencia built on trade. The Bullring, a 19th-century neo-Mudejar building, anchors the city's cultural identity. Your guide shares the history and context of each stop without rushing. The pace is built around conversation and photographs, not covering distance.
The Turia Gardens form the spine of the ride. This linear park runs through the city where a riverbed once flowed, and the route passes the futuristic Calatrava Bridge, the Flower Bridge that changes with the seasons, and Gulliver Park, a massive sculpture visitors can climb and explore. The gardens connect directly to the City of Arts and Sciences, where the Hemisférico's eye-shaped building houses an IMAX cinema and planetarium, and the Palau de les Arts hosts opera and classical performances. The architecture here is deliberately different from the medieval core. It's the city's statement about its future.
E-bikes mean you cover ground that would take twice as long on foot or a standard bike, but without arriving tired. The motor handles the inclines. You control the pace and choose when to stop. Water is included, and the guide speaks your language: English, Spanish, Italian, French or Dutch, depending on which departure you book. The route avoids the beach and stays focused on the city's core, making it work for first-time visitors, cruise passengers and families who want a real introduction to Valencia in a single morning or afternoon.
What’s included
Your e-bike is included, along with bottled water and a bilingual guide who shares Valencia's history and local recommendations throughout the ride.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
In English, Spanish, French and Italian, at 11:00 and 16:15. In Dutch, at 10:30 and 14:00.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's inside the City of Arts and Sciences that we'll actually see on the bike tour?
The City of Arts and Sciences is an architectural complex with several buildings: the Hemisférico (shaped like an eye, housing an IMAX cinema and planetarium), the Palau de les Arts (a performance venue for opera and concerts), the Museo de las Ciencias (an interactive science museum), and the Ágora (a multifunctional event space). The tour passes through the complex and stops for photos and explanation, though entry to the individual museums is not included.
How steep are the hills, and will the e-bike really make a difference?
The route includes inclines, particularly moving between the Old Town and the Turia Gardens, and again toward the City of Arts and Sciences. The e-bikes have motors that handle these climbs, so you pedal with assistance rather than against resistance. This is why the tour covers more ground in 3 hours than a standard bike would, and why it's suitable for all fitness levels.
Do we stop at the Mercado Central, and can we buy food there?
The Mercado Central, Valencia's modernist market building, is on the route and the guide will show it to you. Internal visits happen on weekday mornings (Monday to Saturday). If your tour departs at another time, you'll see the building's exterior. The market sells fresh produce and local food, so you can buy something if you want, but meals are not included in the tour.
Are the Serranos Towers and Quart Towers the same thing, or do we visit both?
They are two different medieval gates. The Serranos Towers, built in the 14th century, are one of Valencia's most iconic landmarks and one of Europe's best-preserved medieval structures. The tour stops here. The Quart Towers, also from the 15th century, are marked by artillery impacts from historical battles and also offer views of the Old Town. Both are on the route.
