The Experience

You ride a quad through the countryside that crosses the mountains of Mijas and Marbella, following a guide who knows where the terrain opens up and where the riverbeds run. The route is mostly off-road—trails that wind through scrubland and rocky ground—with stretches of highway to connect them. Depending on the season, some riverbeds carry water, which changes what the ride feels like and makes the experience shift from one month to the next. Closed shoes are mandatory; the operator warns that clothes can end up dirty.

The tour stops at places with views across the Costa del Sol, where you can rest, drink water and take photos with the other riders. Along the way you'll see whatever fauna is moving through that day—flocks of sheep, horses, alpacas, donkeys, bulls, cows, and birds of prey circling overhead. The guide leads; you follow. A helmet and sanitary hairnet are provided. Passengers ride free on the quad behind the driver, and they need to be at least 7 years old.
