The experience

The tour starts at Cortijo El Cura, a working farm on the road between Laujar and Órgiva. Your guide walks you through the vineyards, olive trees, almond trees, fruit trees and orchard, then into the agricultural museum to see how rural life and farming have shaped the region. The winery itself sits on the property, so you move directly from the fields into the production space where the wines are made.

The tasting includes five organic wines, two of them premium selections, paired with olives and almonds grown on the same land. Alongside the wines comes an aperitif of local products: cheese and charcuterie from Laujar, bread from the town, and the farm's own organic olive oil. If you visit between August and January, you'll also taste from the 52 varieties of table grapes grown in the traditional parral system, a method so specific to this area that it exists nowhere else in the world.

The whole experience runs 90 to 120 minutes. A minimum of two people per booking is required. The museum and winery are wheelchair accessible, and the farm operates in all weather, so dress for the conditions outside.
