Paddle into caves where bigger boats can't reach

Kayak the Menorca coast for three hours with a live guide in English, Spanish, Italian or French, paddling to sea caves, snorkeling sites and geological landmarks unreachable by other vessels. Snorkeling equipment is included. Children from age 3 are welcome when accompanied by an adult. You'll need moderate fitness to paddle and operate the kayak yourself.

The experience

What makes a kayak different from a tour boat is that you're the one moving it. The lightness of the kayak lets you slip into sea caves and grottos where larger boats can't fit, stop on any beach you want, and get close enough to see the marine life the way it actually lives. Over three hours, you paddle the Menorca coast with a guide who knows the geological and historical sites: the caves, the rock formations, the places where the island's geology tells a story. The guide speaks your language (English, Spanish, Italian or French) and steers the route, but you're doing the work of getting there.

Snorkeling gear comes with the booking, so when you reach the spots where the water is clear and the fish are thick, you can slip in without stopping to rent or buy anything. The pace is active (you're paddling for the full three hours), so you need at least a moderate level of fitness. Children from age 3 can come along, but they sit in the kayak with an adult. Infants stay on an adult's lap. The route itself is built around what you can reach by paddle: unspoiled stretches of coast, places surrounded by marine life, the kind of Menorca that doesn't show up from a tour bus window.

Top questions

What languages is the tour guided in?

Live guide in English, Spanish, French and Italian.

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 11 years). Children under 3 can't be included in the booking.

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can I kayak in Menorca if I've never paddled before?

You'll need at least a moderate level of physical fitness to operate the kayak for three hours, but the guide leads the route and the kayak's design makes it seaworthy and stable. First-time paddlers who are reasonably fit manage the activity.

What can I actually see and do once we're on the water?

You paddle into sea caves and grottos that larger boats can't access, stop on beaches, snorkel in the marine reserves where fish and other life concentrate, and pass geological and historical sites the guide explains from the water. The whole point is seeing the coast from sea level instead of from a boat deck.

Is snorkeling equipment really included, or do I need to bring my own?

Snorkeling gear comes with the kayak rental, so you're ready to go in the water whenever the guide stops at a good spot. Bring a swimsuit and a towel. Everything else is provided.
