The experience
The hammam sits steps from the Alhambra's outer wall, so you're soaking in a space built on centuries of Andalusian water culture. You spend the full 90 minutes moving between the hot, warm and cold pools and the steam room however you want. There's no schedule, no group rhythm, just you and the thermal water. The baths are designed to contrast temperatures on your skin, which is the whole point: the shock and release is what loosens you up and settles you down in one session.
Mint tea and water arrive as you unwind, and when you're ready you head to the Aroma Corner for the massage. A 15 or 30-minute relaxation massage uses essential oils. If you want more, you can upgrade to a Midra treatment that adds an exfoliating body scrub and a purification ritual on a hot stone bed. The choice is yours at checkout, and it all happens inside the 1.5 hours, so you're not adding time on top.
Bring your own bathing suit. Shower gel, shampoo and a towel are there. The hammam is open to ages 13 and up, and you'll need to contact the local supplier after booking to confirm your exact start time, since slots fill and the experience runs by appointment.

Is this one for you?Choose the relaxation massage if you want to ease into the experience without extra treatments. Pick Midra 30 or 45 if you're after a full skin ritual that includes exfoliation and a purification ceremony on heated stone. The 1.5-hour window means everything (baths, tea and massage) happens in one unrushed session, so you're not booking separate services back-to-back.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
What's the difference between the relaxation massage and the Midra options?
The relaxation massage is 15 or 30 minutes of oil massage alone. Midra 30 adds an exfoliating body scrub, and Midra 45 includes both the scrub and a 15-minute purification ritual on a heated stone bed, so it's a fuller skin treatment.
Can I just soak in the baths without booking a massage?
No, a massage is part of every option. The experience includes either a 15 or 30-minute relaxation massage, or you upgrade to one of the Midra treatments. All of it fits inside the 1.5-hour session.
Is this hammam crowded, or do I have it to myself?
Hammam Al Ándalus is a public bath, so other guests are there, but the pools and steam room are designed so you move through them at your own pace without a guide or group schedule.
What should I know about getting there from central Granada?
The hammam is at the foot of the Alhambra complex. Public transportation options are available nearby, but the supplier doesn't provide hotel pickup or drop-off, so you'll arrange your own transport.
