Scuba Diving in Fuerteventura: Try Dive with Instructor
Descend to the lava formations off Fuerteventura's shore with a guide at your side the whole way.
A scuba diving try dive in Fuerteventura with a personal instructor, no experience required, where you spend 30 minutes in briefing and then enter the water from the shore to descend to the ocean floor. The dive includes full equipment, an air-conditioned vehicle for pickup, and a guide in English, Spanish, German or Polish who stays with you throughout. You choose between a 20 or 40-minute underwater dive depending on how deep you want to go into the experience.
The Experience
The day starts on shore with a 30-minute briefing where your instructor walks you through the equipment and the basics of breathing underwater. You'll put on the full scuba gear, then enter the water from the beach with your guide right beside you. Once you're in, you practice breathing through the regulator on the surface before descending step by step into the blue. The lava formations of the seafloor come into view as you go deeper, and your guide points out the animals living in the bay — rays, moray eels, sea stars, trumpet fish, octopuses and more appear on almost every dive.
Your instructor stays with you the entire time, so you can focus on the moment instead of worrying about technique. The underwater world off Fuerteventura shifts with each dive; what you see depends on the day and the conditions, but the guide knows the bay and knows where to look. Once you surface and change out of the gear, you'll review pictures of the dive back on land.
What’s included
- Full scuba equipment.
- a personal instructor in English, Spanish, German or Polish.
- 30-minute briefing on shore.
- air-conditioned vehicle pickup.
- and the dive itself, either 20 or 40 minutes depending on which option you choose.
Operated by Kayaking Atlantis
Is this one for you?Choose the 40-minute dive if you want time to settle into the rhythm underwater and explore more of the lava formations; the 20-minute option gets you in and back out quickly, which works better if you're testing whether diving suits you before committing to certification later.
