Discover Scuba Diving is a PADI Underwater Baptism in Costa Brava: a first dive experience for non-divers, taught by certified instructors in confined sea waters to a maximum depth of 12 meters. The experience

The boat is where the day starts. You'll spend the first part of the session on deck learning diving theory (how to breathe underwater, how pressure works, what the equipment does) in plain language from an instructor who speaks English, Spanish or French. This isn't abstract: you're learning what you'll do in the next hour. Once that clicks, you move into the water in a confined area of the sea, still shallow, still close to the boat, where the instructor stays at your side while you practice the basics. The point is control: you're not dropped into the deep. You're learning in a place where everything feels manageable.

The second dive is where it opens up. You descend to a maximum of 12 meters in the same confined waters, but now you're moving, looking, noticing. The Costa Brava seafloor holds over 200 cataloged species: octopuses, moray eels, barracuda, smaller fish moving through the rocks. You're not watching from a boat or a glass panel. You're down there, breathing, moving, seeing it directly. The instructor is still with you, still watching, but you're the one operating the equipment and choosing where to look. The whole session runs about three hours from start to finish.

Everything you need is included: the SCUBA equipment, the boat, diving insurance, and the guide. You can also book a free photo session to capture the moment. The boat operates from Costa Brava, and public transportation options are available nearby if you're traveling without a car.
