When you leave the Zoo, you unpause the app and follow the mapped route through Barcelona. It passes the Parliament of Catalonia and the Cascada fountain (the bronze horses and golden Aurora sculpture above the trees), then leads out through the red-brick Arc de Triomf. The walk continues into the center at the Palau de la Música Catalana, then into the Gothic Quarter where Saint Eulalia, Roman Barcino, and medieval Barcelona converge near the cathedral. The route ends at Santa Maria del Mar in the Born district. The GPS map on your phone shows each stop and the path between them. You follow it at whatever pace suits the day.
