Step-by-step itinerary
Alicante discovery day trip
- Pickup from Albir and Benidorm
- Scenic coach ride along southern Costa Blanca
- Pass Villajoyosa and Campello villages
- Arrive Alicante beach road around noon
- Enjoy five hours free time in Alicante
- Return coach trip with drop-offs in reverse order
The experience
The coach picks you up from one of four hotels in Benidorm or Albir and heads south along the national coast road, passing through Villajoyosa and Campello before reaching the beach road at San Juan de Alicante. You arrive in the city around midday with the afternoon and early evening ahead of you. What you do with that time is entirely yours. The tour does not dictate stops or a guided route once you land.
Alicante sits at the southern edge of the Costa Blanca with a working port, a marble esplanade, and a walled old quarter threaded with narrow streets that predate the modern city. The castle overlooks everything from above. Mushroom Street (Calle de Las Setas) runs through the shopping district with designer storefronts. The central market operates during the day. An English or Spanish-speaking representative will be on hand to confirm timings and answer questions, but the five hours are yours to spend however you choose: walk the port, climb to the castle, browse the market, sit at a café, or simply move through the streets without a schedule.
The return journey leaves Alicante in the late afternoon and retraces the coast road northward, dropping passengers back at their original pickup points in reverse order: Benidorm first, then Albir. The whole day runs seven to nine hours from pickup to final drop-off. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and the coach is air-conditioned for the drive.
What’s included
- Pickup and drop-off from your hotel in Benidorm or Albir.
