The experience
How do you see Jeju without renting a car or joining a bus full of strangers? A taxi driver fluent in English picks you up from the airport and becomes your guide for the day, taking you through the island's nature, culture and the sites that matter to you. The vehicle is air-conditioned and sized for your group: a sedan for up to three people, a seven-seater jumbo for four to six, or a twelve-seater minibus for larger parties. Parking and fuel are included, so there's no haggling over costs as the day unfolds.
The route moves through Jeju's layered history. Stone Culture Park sits in front of an oreum (a volcanic cone unique to the island) and walks you through the stone culture that shaped Jeju's landscape and people. From there, Woljeongri Beach is where you often see haenyeo (the traditional women divers who still work the waters), and you can watch them at Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak during the daily 2 p.m. haenyeo performance. Seongsan itself is a massive rock that erupted from the sea and now stands as a UNESCO site. You climb it and descend in time to catch the show. Seopjikoji lighthouse sits on a drama-filming beach where a walk along the shore clears the mind. Sangumburi Crater, barely erupting lava but leaving a 100-meter-deep hole, rounds out the geology.
Lunch happens near Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak within a kilometer of the peak, and you choose the restaurant and menu with the driver: no preset meal, no surprise bill. The driver speaks basic English and has years of foreign tour experience. If a site doesn't appeal to you or you want to add one, the itinerary shifts. This is a taxi tour, not a fixed route. The day runs roughly 32 hours of driving and walking, though the pace is yours.

Top questions
Can I start the tour from my hotel instead of the airport?
Yes. Pickup is included from any Jeju location (airport, hotel, or anywhere else you name) with no extra charge. Drop-off works the same way.
What is Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and why is it a UNESCO site?
Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is a massive rock that erupted from the sea and now stands on the east coast of Jeju. It is a World Natural Heritage site because of its geological significance and the rare volcanic formation it represents.
Will I see the haenyeo divers perform?
A haenyeo show is held every day at 2 p.m. at Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. The tour timing is built around reaching the peak in time to watch the performance, which gives you a glimpse into the traditional diving culture that is part of Jeju life.
What happens if I don't want to visit one of the attractions?
The itinerary is flexible. You can add or exclude attractions as you go, and the driver will adjust the route to match what you want to see.
Is food included in the price?
Lunch is not included, but the driver helps you choose a restaurant near Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and discusses menu options with you. All other costs (admission fees, transport, parking and fuel) are covered in the tour price.
What size group can fit in the vehicle?
Groups range from one to fifteen people. A sedan seats up to three; a seven-seater jumbo accommodates four to six; a twelve-seater minibus takes seven to fifteen. You choose the vehicle size that fits your party at checkout.
