The experience

The tour departs from your accommodation and heads west to Geumneung Beach, where 80 minutes of travel time gets you to a wide, shallow sandy beach with natural pools formed when the tide recedes. The beach sits next to the more crowded Hyeopjae Beach, so it stays quieter. Soft sand and seawater-carved rock pools make it a place where children can play without much setup, though the operator recommends shoes because broken shells mix with the sand near the water's edge. The van waits while you spend time there.

From the beach, the route continues to Hallim Park, one of Jeju's largest attractions, where you can see plants, animals, two natural caves, and a reconstructed folk village spread across the grounds. The cave entrances have stairs, so you'll need help getting down, but the cave floors themselves are flat and navigable by wheelchair. After Hallim Park comes the cactus colony along the coast, a narrow strip of plants with wind turbines visible across the sea: a combination that creates an unusual landscape. Lunch is built into the 100 minutes of travel time to this stop.

O'Sulloc Tea Museum, Korea's largest green tea producer, has ramps, accessible restrooms, and a tea field where you can take photos. A warm or cold cup of green tea is included to rest after the day's travel. The final stops are two historical sites: a Japanese military hangar from the Sino-Japanese War, and the 4.3 Memorial, which preserves the site of a 1948 massacre. Dinner and return to your accommodation close the nine hours.

Can I rent a wheelchair or bathroom chair if I don't have one with me?

Yes. Electric wheelchairs and bathroom chairs are available to rent. Tell the operator in advance so they can prepare one for your arrival.

What happens if the weather changes during the day?

The schedule adjusts according to weather conditions. The operator plans the route based on the forecast and will modify stops if needed to keep you safe and comfortable.

Does the tour include admission to all the attractions?

The tour includes the driver, van rental with ramp access, parking, and fuel. Admission to Hallim Park is separate, and meals (lunch and dinner) are your own cost.

What is Geumneung Beach like for someone using a wheelchair?
