The Experience
The tour starts at Koper cruise terminal and heads first to Ljubljana, where you walk the old town with your guide: past Ljubljana Castle, the Triple Bridge, the Shoemakers Bridge, Ljubljana Cathedral, and the Robba Fountain. After about two hours there, you have free time to shop, sit by the Ljubljanica river with a coffee or Slovenian wine, or just wander the alleyways. Then it's a 45-minute drive to Lake Bled, where your guide fills you in on the lake's history along the way.
At Lake Bled itself, you get up to two hours to explore on your own. Walk the shoreline, take a Pletna boat to the island church (20 EUR extra per person), try the famous Bled Kremsnita cake, or simply sit with a glass of wine and photograph the castle perched on the cliff above. After that, you drive around the lake for views and stop for photos at Bled Castle. The whole day runs eight hours from pickup to drop-off at Koper port.
Your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, German or one additional language, and the van is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible. The tour operates in all weather, so bring layers for wind or rain. If you're traveling with infants or small children, specialized seats and stroller space are available.
