You’ll cycle through Singapore’s glowing Marina Bay by night—past riverside parks, the National Stadium, Singapore Flyer, Merlion Park, and even ride on part of the F1 track. With a local guide leading the way and stops for photos or just soaking in city life after dark, this tour lets you feel both the energy and quieter corners of Singapore.
The first thing I remember is the way the city lights bounced off the river — not just a reflection, but this whole moving shimmer as we started our bikes near Kallang. The air was warm but not heavy, and our guide (Li) handed out helmets with a grin that made me trust him instantly. There were locals jogging by with their headphones in, and one old uncle doing tai chi under a streetlamp. I tried to mimic his slow movements while waiting for everyone to get sorted — didn’t nail it, but Li gave me a thumbs up anyway.
We set off along the Kallang River, and honestly, cycling at night in Singapore feels different — quieter somehow, even though you’re right in the middle of things. At Riverside Park you catch these little pockets of calm: someone fishing, kids chasing each other in the grass. The National Stadium looked unreal all lit up; I didn’t expect it to be so massive up close. Li told us about its retractable roof and how it fills up for football matches — I could almost hear the crowd if I closed my eyes.
Then came that moment when we rolled up to the Singapore Flyer. It’s huge — bigger than I thought — and there’s this low hum from traffic mixing with laughter from couples taking selfies. Right after that we actually cycled onto part of the Formula One track (not during race season obviously). It’s weirdly smooth under your tires and for a second you do imagine what it’d be like with engines screaming around you instead of just our little group pedaling along. Someone tried to race Li and lost badly; he’s got legs like steel cables.
We stopped at Marina Bay Sands for water (they provide bottles), and you get this view of the skyline that’s hard to describe without sounding cheesy. The Merlion was smaller than I pictured but still kind of magnetic — people lined up for photos, some laughing as they tried to angle themselves “drinking” from its fountain. We ended near Esplanade where there was a busker playing guitar under those spiky domes locals call ‘durians’. The music drifted out over the bay and I just stood there for a bit longer than planned. Still think about that view sometimes when I’m stuck at my desk back home.
Your evening includes bicycle rental with helmet, bottled water to keep you going under those city lights, free lockers or luggage storage at their shop before setting off along Marina Bay with your licensed local guide—plus ponchos if rain surprises you mid-ride.
