The experience

The day opens with hotel pickup and a drive to Constance Ephelia Hotel, where the SMAC Adventure operation is based. Your guide will gear you up, cover safety, and walk you through the eight ziplines that make up the forest section. Each line spans 80 to 120 meters across the canopy, suspended 20 to 24 meters above ground, with views out over Port Launay Bay as you move through the trees. The zipline portion takes around an hour and a half to complete.

After the forest, transport takes you to Port Launay Beach itself. The marine park bay has calm water suited to snorkeling, and snorkeling equipment is provided. The beach also offers sunbathing and shade if you prefer to rest, though the park is known for its range of water activities: surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba diving, fishing, sailing, kayaking and canoeing are all available for rental. The combination of active options and relaxation space means the afternoon can be paced to your preference.

Before heading back, you'll stop at Sauzier Waterfall for a freshwater swim in what the operator describes as one of the world's purest water sources. The pond-like setting takes around 30 minutes. The full day runs approximately four hours from start to finish.
