The experience

The morning starts with pickup from your hotel in Dakar. A driver collects you and takes you south to Bandia Reserve, where a guide meets you at the entrance. After the reserve, you return to the 4x4 and drive across to Bandia Ranch, which sits just opposite. The game drive is shorter and more focused than the reserve walk.

The whole outing takes between 3 and 6 hours from start to finish, depending on how long you spend watching and how traffic moves on the return to Dakar.
