The experience

The activity starts with your guide leading you into the gorge itself. You'll follow the river through the landscape, moving over rocks and boulders, jumping into deep plunge pools, and wading or swimming across sections of water. The scrambling and water entry are continuous. This is not a walk along a path, but an active journey through the gorge using your hands and feet to move through it. The guide stays with the group throughout, offering instruction on technique and helping participants across the trickier sections.

Everything you need is provided: a 5mm wetsuit fitted to your size, specialized canyoning shoes, and all the safety equipment the activity requires. You'll bring your own swimwear and towel, and the guide will photograph or film the day so you have a record of it. The two-hour timeframe is the active gorge time. Plan for about 2.5 hours total including getting into gear and a safety briefing beforehand.

Children from age 8 can join, though the activity does demand a moderate level of fitness and comfort in water. The scrambling and jumping are real. You're not watching a demonstration or following a gentle path. The guide's job is to keep everyone safe and moving at a pace the group can handle, but the adventure itself is the point.
