Dundee Scavenger Hunt: App-Based City Explorer with Remote Host

Hunt for objects across Dundee while a remote guide keeps you on track

Operation City Quest is an app-based scavenger hunt activity in Dundee where you walk the city streets finding objects and completing challenges in any order you choose, earning points as you go. A remote host stays available via chat to help if you get stuck. The activity runs for two hours and includes access to the app and all hunt activities. You'll need your own smartphone to participate.

The experience

You download the app, and it gives you a list of objects scattered around Dundee to find. There's no fixed route. You pick the order that makes sense for where you are, and the app tracks your progress as you move through the city. Each object you locate earns points, and you'll also get points for completing challenges the app sets along the way. A remote host sits in a chat window ready to answer questions or nudge you in the right direction if you hit a wall.

The real pull is the ranking feature built into the app: your score stacks up against other teams playing the same hunt across the country, so you're not just exploring Dundee. You're competing in real time. Two hours is enough to work through a solid chunk of the hunt without feeling rushed, and because you choose the order, you can adapt to crowds or weather as you go. The remote guide keeps things social even though you're out on your own.
